The Witton Club goes back to 1922 and was originally the Works rugby side of GEC. Old Centrals was formed in 1913 from the former pupils of Central Secondary School as it was then known but latterly Central Grammar School and then Byng Kenrick Central School. Since the demise of rugby at Central, the Old Boys club found it increasingly difficult to attract players from outside into the club and by 1997 were struggling to fulfill their fixtures. At the same time Witton were about to lose their rented ground to university development. Talks got underway and the merger was forged in 1998.
The club is based on the former Old Centrals sports ground at Aldridge and currently plays in Midlands 5 West (North) fielding three senior sides.
The club is always keen to recruit new players of any shape, age or ability.   So if you fancy a run out,   get in touch via the e mail contact above or phone Jeff Large via the "Contacts" page.
