Another sparkling display from the 2’s, albeit with a little bit of padding.  The forwards were busy all afternoon providing plenty of ball to give the backs ample opportunities to demonstrate their paces.  With half-backs Mark Large and Nick Raybould pulling the strings and Ben Pittam initiating the attacks through the middle, the home side had little answer to the first half onslaught that followed.  Six quality tries, three converted, meant that the game was virtually over at the break.  In the second half, with the elements in our faces, the scoring rate did slow somewhat and Essington probably shaded the territorial advantages but they were always chasing the game leading to errors which were efficiently punished to add a further three tries – two converted, to the score board.
