Aldridge fielded a much diminished side on Saturday against a good Spartans team that fully deserved their win.
Both sides played some good rugby but the organisation of the Spartans side, especially in the backs, gave them a winning advantage.
Alex Holding performed heroically at No 8 to try to secure Aldridge ball and stem the advances of the Spartans' loose forwards. Russell Hamilton also had a good game in the back row.
Whilst there was no lack of effort on the part of those who played Aldridge will need to do much better next week in the league game against Whittington.
