Aldridge began the game comfortably on top, winning lots of ball and making good use of it, It became apparent very early on that their backs had the edge over a makeshift Barton backs line.
Adam Reed had a field day at fly half, scoring three tries and converting tries by Jacob Holding and an excellent debut try by Adam Morris. The backs were combining well, with Lewis Underwood joining the line at pace. Aldridge's forwards, especially the back row, were quick to support, and the home side had the lions share of possession in the first half.
The visitors were looking tired at half time but they recovered remarkably in the second half to score two good tries, the first from some excellent forward pressure.
All in all, a good day for Aldridge. Next up is an away trip to Bloxwich.
